シリアの国立商取引消費者保護省商工業財産保護局（The Syrian Directorate of Industrial and Commercial Property Protection）は、商標、特許、意匠、実用新案、および著作権を含むすべての知的財産アクションにおいて、法人の存在を証明する書類の提出義務を公式に撤廃したことを発表した。
シリアにおける知的財産の登録・保護手続きが、今後大幅にスピードアップすることになりそうだ。
これまで必要とされていた、以下の書類コピーの提出が今後は不要となる。
１．設立証明書（Certificate of Incorporation）
２．営業ライセンス（Business License）
３．商業登記簿謄本（Commercial Register Extract）
４．定款（Articles of Incorporation）
